BOPAS: Building On Performance and Screen At BOPAS, we nurture the next generation of screen and stage talent through a dynamic, hands-on approach to performance. Our program is designed to evolve with our students’ growth, and in Term 3 and Term 4, we’re taking things to a new level. In Term 3, students will focus intensively on character work and scene development, creating rich, believable roles that will come to life on screen. This term is all about building the emotional depth and narrative structure needed for compelling short films. Then, in Term 4, it’s time to shoot. Students will take part in a unique filming experience, working collaboratively across age groups—including our younger and older students—to create short films that reflect real-world production dynamics. This intergenerational approach offers a fresh and exciting creative challenge. Important Note: Due to the integrated nature of the project, students who enrol in Term 3 must also commit to Term 4, as that is when filming will take place. The journey culminates in a cinematic premiere at Event Cinemas, where students will showcase their work to friends, family, and members of the wider film industry. This is a powerful opportunity for young creatives to gain exposure and celebrate their achievements on the big screen.
