Our classes for 9-12 year olds have a strong focus on improvisation, a wonderful and necessary tool for all actors in Theatre and Film. During these classes we focus on the skills required to help our young actors work confidentially in the field of screen acting, this also will encourage a better understanding of themselves and their choices that they make for characters. At BOPAS our goal and aim is to teach our actors to a high professional industry standard, giving them the necessary tools so they can build confidence, understand their strength, and help them build up those areas where they are still learning. We teach this through a variety of ways; acting techniques, movement, working to camera, understanding combat acting, improvisation, script writing, character development and film making. A lot of the work is done to the camera and this allows our actors to view their work as they go. Acting classes empower kids to become more expressive, empathetic, and self-assured individuals, equipping them with invaluable life skills that extend far beyond the stage. All our tutors are industry trained tutors who are passionate about encouraging and guiding our young actors towards their full potential.
