Description
Our acting classes for 9-12 year olds emphasize working with the camera, improvisation, and creating believable characters. These elements are crucial for developing skills in Theatre and Film, and they also support mental well-being and self-expression. Through working with the camera, our young actors gain valuable insights by viewing their performances in real-time, helping them understand and refine their craft. Improvisation is integrated to enhance their creativity and adaptability, while focusing on creating believable characters encourages self-awareness and a deeper understanding of their own choices. At BOPAS, we are committed to teaching our actors to a high professional standard, providing them with the tools they need to build confidence, recognize their strengths, and address areas for growth. Our curriculum covers a range of techniques, including acting methods, movement, on-camera work, combat acting, improvisation, script writing, character development, and filmmaking. Our classes are designed to empower children to be more expressive, empathetic, and self-assured. The skills they develop in our program extend beyond the stage, contributing to their overall mental health and personal development. Led by the talented Samantha, our dedicated tutors are passionate about guiding each young actor toward their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment. Term dates for 2025: Term 1: 10 February to week of 7 April
