From Green to Screen
9-13yrs and Teens
BOP Actors Studio is very excited to be able to offer our ‘From Green to Screen’ Film making class.
This term class we will be teaching our young filmmakers all about Green Screen, from the very beginning of having an idea, to the end creation.
- The Craft – what is it and why do we do it – let’s find our WHY
- Prep to Practise, – this is the nuts and bolts of film making, composition, style, the feel, creating mood boards, storyboards, etc.
- Green Screen, how to find what you want to use, how to use it – the dynamics of working with a green screen.
- Working with BOPAS students to actually shoot the Film and show-case at the end of the term.
Price
$200 is the cost of the semester. This must be paid in full before classes begin. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems in regards the class fees.

Class Tutor, Gary Benner
Gary Benner has a background in both IT and Education. He has his own production company called, ‘Goodas Films’, and has worked in the film and media industry over the last 25 years. He’s always pioneering new ways to film with his background in computing, software and electronics.
Gary was behind the amazing agency system that managed the over 12 thousand of the extras required for the production of Lord of the Rings, as well as those for Hercules and Xena. He’s created works for many corporations creating videos with the use of Green Screen, and is a motivational teacher to our young students.
He has worked as a high school teacher, a tutor at our local Polytechs, and is also a meditation teacher, and is very excited to be teaching our students about how to use Green Screen in their filming.
